Position Description

The vision of the UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering is a world in which the development of buildings and the urban environment is sustainable. The successful candidate will work with the existing team to develop, design and deliver a body of high quality research into the complex system that relates to ‘urban sustainability and health’.

The successful candidate will organise the participatory work with case study cities, conduct workshops, etc. and execute qualitative and quantitative system dynamics modelling.

The appointment is for 4 years in the first instance, further funding to support the post may be available.

Required Skills

The key requirements include: a PhD in relevant subject area (social science, humanities, engineering, science) or commensurate experience; extensive knowledge of relevant research techniques and methodologies, especially system dynamics modelling; past experience in qualitative research.
