Dear Econ Chapter (soon to be SIG) members,

Please let me know if you have NOT been receiving emails about the monthly meetings that WPI has been hosting. Feel free to message here or email me [email protected]

Please also update your email addresses. I received many "bounce back" emails with reject reasons: "inactive/does not exist/not found" etc. Prof. Radzicki needs to download the file of your emails and send it to me. It is a process that has multiple delays. You can picture the stock-flow. I naturally think in terms of discrete-event simulation (DES) first because I learned that simulation method before I learned SD. I think (iSee?) I would use DES for this "model" this batch or individual process to track my utilization and understand wait times and resource utilization. Resources: Prof. Raz, SDS-Michael Breslin?, me and the different tech we use. OK. I spent too much time thinking about modeling when I should be doing my social media job (or am I doing it?). Economist/Diplomatic answer: "It depends."

Anyway, you can message me directly and I will update it in the Excel workbook that I keep.

Ciao,
Christine

p.s. I try to find (and create) fun(ny) things out of serious situations.

p.p.s. I figured out a way to avoid the WPI algorithms that kept suspending my account because I was emailing > 700 emails from my personal account. I am very happy about that. That's why I sent the email for Prof. King's presentation 2019/12/13 from WPISDG = WPI System Dynamics Group. We didn't standardize our name...yet. This is a student run organization. We are learning as we go.

Please also let me know if you joined or updated your email after Sept 1, 2019. I might not have your email in my list/spreadsheet. We are in the process of requesting the new roster but there are many delays in this process. Maybe I should ask SDS directly instead of asking Prof. Radzicki first. Eliminate one step/the middleman.

Please also let me know if you would like to present on April 10th.

If Fridays 2-3PM ET does not work, then please let me know and maybe we can schedule another day/time for you to present.

I will ask Prof. Radzicki if we will post summaries of the meeting here (or you can watch the YouTube video)

I am going through the bounce backs for this round of emails and received a new error message (see below). I tried to email these folks from my WPI email instead of mass emailing (i.e. BCC = blind carbon copying) from the WPI SDG (System Dynamics Group) email but I also received this error.

Error:
"Your message can't be delivered because you do not have permissions to send to this email address. Ask the recipient’s e-mail administrator to grant you permissions and then try again. For more information about this issue see DSN code 5.7.1 in Exchange Online."

Not sure how to get in contact with these folks (without compromising privacy)...other than posting here and to social media.
