Report of the Vice President - Publications: Eric Wolstenholme In autumn 2000 Eric Wolstenholme as VP Publications solicited the help of the publications committee of the society to create a shortlist for the post of EE to replace Graham Winch. Particular attention was given when choosing the candidates to be approached to their credentials to fulfil the post, their level of interest in being the Editor, the time they had available and the level of backing from their Institutions. Six people have now been approached. There is one definite candidate and one still considering the possibility. A decision will be made in the near future in time to be announced at the Atlanta conference and to take post in Autumn 2001. Eric
Report of the Nominating Committee The nominating committee (Dave Ford, Frank Maier, Carmine Bianchi, Jim Hines and myself) has now finished its work and we propose the following
slate of candidates to take office in 2003:
If time permits at the Policy Council meeting, it would be interesting to discuss the issue raised by Vennix in his president's newsletter about the quality of work in system dynamics. What threat is poor quality to the future of the Society? What might the Society do to raise the level of work?
