QUERY Model Merging Tools (SD6987)

At the 2006 meeting I attended a workshop about a software tool called 
"conductor" that simplifies the construction of large Vensim models from 
sub-modules  developed by different groups. 
 
Although I have no immediate plans for using this tool, I was interested 
in learning about new versions etc because a large model building 
Endeavour may be on the horizon.  We are sort of looking at options at 
this stage.
 
I contacted the authors and apparently Los Almos National Laboratory 
(where it was developed) can provide this tool, but there is a 
complicated (at least to me) arrangement for licensing etc. with all 
sorts of government regulations attached...  I didn't find references to 
the software on the web site.
 
Ahhh.... but since I know there are some SDS members who work at these 
labs, perhaps they can enlighten us on the availability of this software 
tool. 
 
Is it available?  Is there a cost? What is the procedure?
