POSITION TITLE: Director Global Marketing Science

REPORTS TO: VP, Marketing Communications

JOB LOCATION: Austin, Texas

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
 - Rebuild the Marketing Function by providing the measurements and
analytics to drive strategy
 - Leverage scale through identifying revenue streams, cost reduction, and
budgeting opportunities
 - Influence over $2 billion in marketing assets.
 - Lead a large team of outside consultants and vendors.
 - Manage Inputs that include Finance, Research, Product Development,
Business Teams, Country and Segment executives.
 - Develop a fully integrated Marketing Communications tool easily used by
business line operators.
 - Provide governance to internal and external teams on the vision for
marketing analytics at Dell.
 - Drive Excellence and oversight to the methodology used in analytic
approaches.
 - Build a cross functional team of business and IT resources with
expertise in analytic skills, data skills and linking data to business
actions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
 - Strong analytic background
 - Dynamic Systems Modeling
 - Predictive Modeling
 - Predictive Marketing
 - Natural or physical sciences
 - Experience with noisy data
 - Ability to make the complex simple (make science understandable)
 - Clear communicator both written and orally
 - Able to lead with influence
 - 10 years experience in consumer behavior or consumer psychology
 - 10 years with specific BtoB, BtoC, marketing experience
 - Graduate degree in operations research, MIS, economics, or have
educational experience with modeling, system dynamics or quantitative
analysis is required. PhD is preferred.
