Dear Colleagues:

The Nominating Committee of the System Dynamics Society is currently working 
on the slate of new candidates for Society offices and positions on the 
Policy Council, that it will present to the Policy Council in early 2008. As 
such, we are looking for people who would be willing to serve. To submit a 
form nominating someone, including yourself, point your browser to:

Any person nominated will have their name placed on the Nominating Committee's 
"Master List" for consideration each year at this time. In other words, if a 
nominee is not selected for the slate this year, his/her name will remain on the 
Master List for consideration in subsequent years. No person's name will be 
formally forwarded to the Policy Council until he/she has been officially 
contacted by the Committee and agreed to have his/her name appear on the slate.

Lastly, at the risk of stating the obvious, the Society is always looking for 
people to serve in other capacities. For example, the Society President now 
routinely appoints "Assistant Vice Presidents," who help Society officers with 
their growing responsibilities. You can use the above form to signal your 
willingness to serve as an AVP and/or to help the Society in other, less formal 
(although no less important), capacities.
