Owen:

I read with great interest your post below. I also googled Strategy Markup
Language and visited the site for which you provided a link. Your post
caught my attention because of (a) the forum where it was posted (i.e., SD),
(b) your mention of CoP, (c) the reference to "strategy" and (d) your
request for ideas about a "positive" feedback loop. I have a long-standing
interest in all those areas so here goes...

>From what I can tell, you're looking for a way to initiate or accelerate the
adoption of a Strategy Markup Language (SML) that has been developed by a
Community of Practice (CoP) that was apparently established for that
purpose. Hence your request for ideas about ways of creating a "positive
feedback loop." In short, I take your request as focusing on things that
can be done to encourage and reinforce the adoption of SML.

Let's start with the simple notion that you "can't push a rope." That's a
mid-western saying that refers to the need to entice. Further, once past
any initial success at getting folks to try SML, I assume you're looking for
factors that will sustain their use of it.

So, for now, let's stop there and see if I've got that much right.

Regards,

Fred Nickols
