Based on the too few examples in reply to my query on SD and national
government policies AND the apparent lack of the US administration and
Congress to recognize that decisions have (sometimes dire) unintended
consequences, I would like to suggest that the SD community respond at
the 25th International Conference of the SDS. Perhaps an open panel
discussion. If we really believe we have a serious and valuable tool
then how can we perfuse SD thinking and modeling into the everyday
workings of government? There is no reason why the practioners of SD
should not be fully employed/contracted by governments to participate
in responding to the day's pressing problems. We should use the
experience of those that have contributed with SD (apparently health
providers and military,) as a foot in the door. But how?
