The 28th International Conference of The System Dynamics Society July 25– 29, 2010 --- Seoul, Korea Hosted by: Supported by: Conference Information: Call for Papers, Presentations, Workshops and Sessions Seoul, Korea is one of the most dynamic capital cities in the world with an abundance of cultural and historic heritage. Located on the Han River, Seoul started as the capital of the Baekje Kingdom in 18 BC. Since the 1960s Seoul has experienced rapid economic development and has been called the “Miracle on the Han River.” It has grown to over ten million people and is Korea’s largest city—one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Its rapid economic, social, and technological progress has played a key part in Korea’s development. Seoul is now taking a leading role in green development for Korea.
Program: The main theme will be Beyond the Crisis: Greening Society, the Economy, and the Future, reflecting global concerns about the environment and economic problems. The program will consist of invited and contributed sessions and workshops demonstrating the state of the art in the theory and application of system dynamics. The program schedule will also include exhibits, model assistance workshops, panel discussions, special sessions, a student colloquium, and Society business meetings. Call for Interest in Society Governance In order to attract candidates interested in serving, and to attract candidates who might be outside the professional networks of current PC members, the Society is proactively asking members to declare their interest in serving. If you are interested in, or know someone who is interested in, serving as a volunteer on the Policy Council, a Society officer or an Assistant Vice President, please fill out the Notification of Interest in Society Governance form and send it to the Nominating Committee for consideration. |
