Formatting Guidelines for Authors


Conference Web Proceedings (Final Version Materials):

August 15, 2008, is the deadline for final web proceedings material. Full works for plenary, parallel, poster, and workshop presentations will be included. If a final version paper is not received, only the abstract will be included in the Web Proceedings. The blind/review version of the paper will NOT be included in the proceedings. Papers must have been presented at the 2008 conference to be published in the proceedings.

The final version paper file is limited to a maximum 2MB electronic file size. Documents must be received in .pdf format. When applicable, authors are encouraged to submit one file of supporting material. The supporting material file is also limited to 2MB.

Text should appear in 12-point Times or equivalent, single-spaced, with one-inch or 3-cm margins all around. The body of the paper should be right and left justified. Slides should fit in the same space with the same margins.

At the top of page one, place a center-justified heading as follows:

Full Title of Paper (16 point, bold)

Author(s) Name(s) (12 point, bold)

Organization/Affiliation (12 point)

Complete Postal Address (12 point)

Telephone/Facsimile Numbers (12 point)

Email Address(es) (12 point)

 

If research was done at a different university, or there is a different funding source, please list this information also.

The paper begins on this page (there is no separate title page) and must contain:

-          An abstract summarizing the entire paper (not exceeding 150 words, in italics)

-          List of up to eight key words that describe the paper (optional)

-          Body of paper

-          Figures included within the main document

-          References

-          Any supplemental information (addenda, equations, etc.)

References should follow the Chicago Manual of Style Form Guide (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html), or the reference style required by the System Dynamics Review, or equivalent.
