Airport Transportation

The airport is accessible by taxi, metro (and tram), and bus. Helpful local transportation information and maps of the city and transportation systems can be found at: http://www.athensinfoguide.com/gettingaround.htm

TAXI Taxi is considered the most convenient way to/from the airport and it is available on a 24-hour basis. When leaving the airport, make use of the taxi queue next to Door 3 of the Arrivals Level. Indicative taxi charges are €25.00 (day time) (price increases from midnight to 6:00 AM). The journey duration is 40-50 minutes.

METRO Take metro line 3: Athens International Airport - Egaleo

To reach the InterContinental Hotel take the metro to Syntagma Station
Then
1) Take the connection metro line 2 Aghios Dimitrios, to Syngrou-Fix Station. Syngrou-Fix Metro Station to the hotel is approximately a ten minute walk.
OR
2) Exit the metro at Syntagma Square and take the tram to the Kasomouli stop, proceed walking for two minutes to the hotel.
OR
3) Exit the metro at Syntagma Square and tak e a taxi to the hotel. (Note from our travel agent: As the hotel is situated between Syngrou-Fix & Neos Kosmos station on red line, it will be more convenient to take the blue line from the airport, get off at Syntagma Square and get a taxi to the hotel instead of changing lines. I think from Syntagma Square it will be easier to get a taxi, because the Syngrou-Fix is very close to the hotel and I doubt the taxi will take such a small ride.)

The journey time from Athens International Airport to Syntagma Station is 27 minutes

BUS E95 Athens Airport Express – Syntagma. Bus ticket costs €3.00 per person and at Syntagma take either the metro line 2 Aghios Dimitrios, Syngrou-Fix Station or the tram to the Kasomouli stop, to reach the hotel.
