Responsibilities
•Build models to simulate end-use energy demands, electricity supply, oil and gas production, biofuels production, energy and non-energy emissions, energy prices, and macroeconomic interactions.
•Analyze impacts of policies on energy demand, energy supply, emissions, investments, energy prices and macroeconomic variables.
•Create customized versions of the model to meet clients’ needs.
•Interface with clients, give presentations, and write reports.
•Develop, research, update, and maintain input data for energy model.
•Write model documentation. |
| Required skills |
•Experience or education in the design and construction of continuous dynamic simulation models, such as system dynamics models.
•Ability to work with and write code in multiple simulation languages.
•Strong written and oral communications skills.
•Ability to interact effectively with clients and co-workers.
•Experience in one or more of the following fields is desired: electric utility industry, energy and resource planning, system dynamics, environmental planning, or macroeconomic forecasting.
