Responsibilities
•Write and test modifications and enhancements to existing and new energy, environment, and economic simulation models.
•Develop, research, update, and maintain input data for energy model.
•Develop code to interface energy model with third-party simulation models.
•Provide technical expertise in the design and construction of the energy models’ databases.
•Provide miscellaneous analytical support for energy simulation model.
•Prepare and maintain documentation of applications as well as data development and analysis techniques.
•Analyze existing systems and make recommendations on streamlining and improving processes.
•Interface with clients to answer questions and provide support. |
| Required skills |
Strong coding and analytical skills.
•Knowledge of and experience with Access, SQL coding, VB.net coding, Excel macros, VBA, and object oriented programming concepts.
•Experience or education in one or more of the following fields: electric utility industry, energy and resource planning, simulation modeling, energy forecasting, macroeconomic forecasting or environmental planning.
•Ability to work well independently.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and clients. |
