Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School
.
Background of Organization The Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School was established in Singapore in 2007 with the aim of increasing the supply of doctors in Singapore, while simultaneously training clinicians in cutting edge research methodologies. The Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) Program is one of the five Signature Research Programs at Duke-NUS. The HSSR Program supports and conducts research that bridges theory and practice in a way that both advances the state of the scientific theory and is sufficiently pragmatic to actually improve health care policy and practice.

The Duke-NUS HSSR Program’s mission is to: (1) pursue a world-class research agenda; (2) impact health care policy and practice; and (3) expand HSSR research capacity. Given the unique position of Singapore geographically and culturally, the postdoctoral program provides excellent training in comparative health systems research and cross-cultural studies of health care systems.
