| Position description |
The Division of Health Policy and Clinical
Effectiveness within Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Senior Social Scientist
(Full Professor) to add methodological and substantive
depth to our growing programs of research. We are
seeking an applied social or behavioral scientist (PhD,
ScD) with research interests in improving health and
health care. The ideal candidate will have an
established record of funding for action-oriented
research; be capable of and interested in mentoring
junior and mid-level faculty; have a history and
capability of effective research collaborations; be
familiar with systems thinking; and have applied, used,
or developed innovative methods in social, behavioral,
or implementation research.
Cincinnati Children’s has recognized the compelling
need to advance child and adolescent Health Services
Research by integrating health services, outcomes and
quality improvement research; developing innovations
in care delivery; and conducting bench to bedside to
community translational research in multiple settings.
To achieve this ambitious mission we are engaged in
the research and innovation occurring in multiple
centers and programs throughout the medical center.
As an integral part of Health Services Research team, you will:
- Play a critical, highly visible role in achieving
CCHMC’s strategic objective to retain and grow
our leadership position in the area of research in improving child health by enhancing ongoing successful activities and initiating new ones.
- Have the opportunity to establish collaborative relationships with other investigators within and across divisions.
